Collaborations Funko Pop

Funko cooperates with numerous partners, thus conquering the collectors' market. The assortment is huge and already includes about 20,000 products, and continues to grow! The Pops! are produced under license from big names such as Disney, Marvel, Warner Bros and DC Comics.

Harry Potter Funko Pop

The first Harry Potter Funko Pop line was released in 2015 at the New York Toy Fair and consisted of 7 basic characters. Harry was joined by Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Snape, Voldemort and a large Hagrid. The total collection now includes more than 100 Funko Pops of all your favorite characters, including the Patronus variants. Disney Funko Pop

The collaboration between Funko and Disney began in 2011, with the launch of the first Mickey Mouse Funko Pops. The classic Mickey Mouse, Metallic Mickey Mouse, Colorized Mickey Mouse and Diamond Mickey Mouse were the first variants. Since then, Funko's Disney collection has only grown. Today, this collection already includes more than a thousand Disney and Pixar Funko Pops. From classic movies like Snow White and Cinderella to the latest hits like Moana and Frozen, there is a Funko Pop for every beloved character. Star Wars Funko Pop

True fans know that Star Wars falls under Disney. Thanks to its partnership with Disney in 2011, Funko began an impressive Star Wars Pop! line, the first release of which was the Chrome Darth Vader Pop, followed by the Glow in the Dark Yoda and the Han Solo Vault Edition. The Star Wars collection now includes nearly 500 Funkos, including an expanded line of the popular Baby Yoda/The Child. Since the introduction of The Mandalorian, merchandise of this green space creature has been in huge demand. Marvel Funko Pop

In addition to the cool Star Wars line, Marvel's superheroes (and villains!) are also staples of the Funko world. Funko and Marvel joined forces in 2011 and released their first Spiderman Funko Pop in the Marvel Universe series 1. Followed by Iron Man in Blue Stealth and Wolverine in three different variants, this collection became a huge success. Since 2011, more than 700 Marvel Pops have been released, including ten cool Pop! Rides such as Deadpool's Chimichanga Truck and Spider-Man with Spider-Mobile. Movie Funko Pops

The first movie Funko Pop line was released in 2013 and included iconic characters from several well-known movies. The collection began with classic figures such as Marty McFly and Doc Brown from “Back to the Future,” and quickly expanded to include characters from films such as “Ghostbusters,” “The Godfather,” and “Pulp Fiction.” Now the total collection includes more than 1,000 Funko Pops of all your favorite movie characters, from old classics to modern blockbusters.

The value of Funko Pops

Like other collectibles, Funko Pops can increase in value. This makes collecting extra interesting: the longer you keep your Funko in perfect condition, the more it can become worth! There are two options: collect inside or outside the box. The main reason to keep your Funko Pop inside the box is to maintain its condition. The better the condition, the higher the value. Funko sometimes releases exclusive or Limited Edition Pops that are inherently worth more than regular Funkos. Chase Funko Pops and Pops that are out of production can also increase in value. However, the value can also decrease if a Pop is produced more frequently and therefore becomes less scarce. So collecting Funko Pops can be seen as an investment; the better condition you maintain, the more value they can gain!

Collecting Funko Pops outside the box has the advantage that you can nicely display them. Each Funko Pop has many nice details and bright colors, it's almost a shame not to show them off!

How did Funko come to be?

Funko's headquarters, located in Everett, Washington, is where Funko Pops are designed. The company designs, manufactures and distributes collectible products in various categories such as vinyl figures, action figures, plush toys, clothing, household items and accessories. Funko's goal is to provide customers with tangible ways to enjoy their fandom offline.

Funko was founded in 1998 by Mike Becker, who developed a line of nostalgic bobbleheads called Wacky Wobblers. The first bobblehead sold in stores was the icon of the fast food restaurant Big Boy. In 2002, the famous Freddy Funko was introduced. In 2005, Becker decided to sell the company to his friend and collector Brian Mariotti.

From then on, Funko really began to grow. In 2010, the company reached new heights with the launch of Funko Force 2.0 at the San Diego Comic-Con. This series consisted of four different Funko Pops: a blue Batman, a metallic blue Batman, a metallic black Batgirl and a glow-in-the-dark Green Lantern, all wrapped in plastic. These figures later formed the basis for the current Pop! line.

In 2011, the Pop! Vinyls were officially announced at the New York Toy Fair, in the form we know today. Funko further expanded its business operations by acquiring fashion accessory company Loungefly in 2017, which fit perfectly with Funko's vision. Loungefly's bags and garments are now beloved among movie fans.

Since then, Funko has continued to grow and continues to produce the popular Funko Pop figures cherished by collectors worldwide.
