Born in South Carolina, Jim Shore grew up in an artistic family and developed a deep appreciation for folk art. His grandmother, a master quilter, taught him the skills and patience needed to bring complex designs to life. In 2001, Jim formed a partnership with Enesco, which led to the creation of the Heartwood Creek collection.

Jim Shore's Heartwood Creek is a collection of handmade and hand-painted figurines and decorative items that combine the traditional motifs of American and European folk art with quilting and rosemaling patterns. This collection includes a wide range of figures, including Santa Clauses, angels, snowmen and animals, each expressing a sense of family, friendship and tradition.
