Kanan Jarrus, born Caleb Dume, was a Jedi Padawan who survived Order 66 and the subsequent Great Jedi Purge, taking on a new identity and hiding his Force abilities while living as a criminal on the run. He later met Hera Syndulla and became the de facto leader of the Ghost crew, eventually embracing his Jedi heritage again to train the Force-sensitive Ezra Bridger in the ways of the Jedi.
