In Transformers: Beast Wars, Megatron is the leader of the Predacons, a faction descended from the Decepticons. He is a powerful, charismatic, and ambitious character who often displays a twisted sense of humour and a penchant for monologues. His ultimate goal is to conquer Cybertron and reshape it in his image, often clashing with his nemesis, Optimus Primal. Megatron's beast mode is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and he evolves throughout the series, becoming a Transmetal and then a Transmetal 2 (a dragon).
